Changes in Office 365 and Microsoft 365 licenses.
Microsoft has announced licensing changes to 365, allowing Teams to be removed from current packages to comply with new European government recommendations.
As of October 1, 2023, new customers who require Teams must purchase it expressly. In other words, the current packages will be available with or without Teams and their prices will be different.
Customers currently using bundled suites will have two options:
🔹 They can continue to use, renew and add licenses to current suites.
🔹 They can purchase a new EEA subscription at renewal (old subscriptions renew automatically).
The following suites are affected.
➡ 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲: Office 365 E1/E3/E5, Microsoft 365 E3/E5
➡ 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗹í𝗻𝗲𝗮: Office 365 F3, Microsoft 365 F1/F3.
➡ 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲ñ𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮𝘀: Microsoft 365 Enterprise Basic/Enterprise Standard/Enterprise Premium.
New suites without Microsoft Teams will be marked as “EEA (without Teams)” in the product descriptions and will be priced lower compared to suites that include Teams.) The Microsoft Teams plan to be attached will have “EEE” in the product description.
